DESCRIPTION:As Europe's largest meeting of university studios for electroni
	c music\,\nnext_generation offers up-and-coming composers a platform to pr
	esent their new\nmusical developments.\n\nOver four days\, next_generation
	 presents an exciting and comprehensive program\nfeaturing the latest deve
	lopments in fixed media\, spatial music\, and live\nelectronics. The festi
	val thus guarantees a representative overview of the\ncurrent creative out
	put of the next generation of composers within the context\nof technology 
	and art.\n\nThe festival program is complemented by the symposium "On Arti
	stic Processes and\nSonic Activism \," which focuses on current artistic\,
	 social\, and technological\nissues. Artists\, academics\, and students ex
	plore the interplay between sound\nart\, social engagement\, and artistic 
	production processes. \n\nThis year\, students from numerous electronic mu
	sic university studios in\nGermany\, Austria\, France\, Italy\, and Switze
	rland are participating. The\nparticipants will present their works in con
	cert format. In addition\,\ninstallations will be on display at various lo
	cations within the ZKM\, and there\nwill be opportunities to exchange idea
	s and discuss individual areas of interest\nthrough lectures and discussio
	ns.\n\nA special highlight is the evening event "next_generation at Night"
	 on June\n19th. In a relaxed atmosphere\, we invite you to bring the conce
