Hope Isn't a Feeling. It's Something You Do.

This October, we come together to celebrate another year of Ciocia Czesia and the community it has built through care, solidarity, and action.

The evening is inspired by the idea that hope isn't something we wait for, but something we practice.

Like a muscle, hope grows through repetition. It lives in showing up for one another, in rebuilding after difficult moments, and in creating support where it's needed most. It's less about pretending everything's okay than choosing, again and again, to continue together.

Through music, art, and community, we'll explore themes of endurance, recovery, and transformation. Inspired by kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken objects without hiding their cracks, we celebrate the beauty of what has been mended rather than erased.

Hope often appears when everything else has fallen away. It becomes what people hold onto, what they rebuild from. Not because it promises everything will be fine, but because it reminds us that something remains: the glow after sunset, the first light before dawn, enough to keep moving forward.
