FluConf is intended as an online alternative to FOSDEM for those who remain conscious of the continued spread of COVID-19 and various other airborne pathogens that are frequently contracted by attendees.

The 2026 edition will take place online on January 31st, 2026 and February 1st, 2026.

We welcome technical presentations as might be expected at many other events related to FOSS (Free and Open-Source Software), but also on topics related to free culture, the governance and support of online communities and knowledge commons, as well as the legalities and politics of software and the Internet.

Unlike the inaugural 2025 edition, FluConf 2026 will not involve a detailed review process or a formal event schedule. Participants are invited to prepare their contribution on their own schedule and simply let us know in advance of the event so that we can link to it from a curated overview.
