Join us for a night of intimate Jazz-infused raps and non-linear avant-garde soundscapes – the official launch of Otis Mensah’s vinyl “Come Beautify The Night” that combines classical music-form with experimental rap cadence reflecting on the body-as-landscape. Each artist’s performance will take an abstract approach to sound and form, that obscures the borders between self and place, reflecting the album’s themes of transition and rewriting home. A celebration of Black experimentation and for those who hold an endearment for craft, the magic and imperfection of the voice, and both the pageantry and minimalism of free-form jazz. The album features artists such as Stones Throws’ Georgia Ann Muldrow, Brownswood Recordings’ Marysia Osu, Wooly Aziz & Regis Molina. The vinyl is released by boutique Paris/London label First Terrace Records will be available for purchase.
