Laboratoř Palestina - Uvedení knihy + debata (eng) + rozhovor s autorem (eng)

Budou to tři roky, co Izrael páchá v Gaze genocidu a desítky let apartheidu a etnických čistek na okupovaných palestinských územích. Palestina je také izraelskou laboratoří, která slouží k testování zbraní a dohledových technologií, jež se následně s nálepkou „testováno v boji“ vyváží do celého světa, včetně těch nejhorších diktatur, jakými jsou například Rusko či Saudská Arábie.
Kniha australského investigativního novináře Antonyho Loewensteina na základě svědeckých výpovědí, tajných dokumentů a reportáží rozkrývá propojení izraelského mocenského systému a technologického a zbrojního průmyslu, který na palestinském obyvatelstvu testuje zbraně, dohledové technologie a nástroje represe pro globální trh.
Aktuálně se izraelská agrese kromě Palestiny stupňuje taky na jihu Libanonu, který systematicky do základů maže bez větší pozornosti světových nebo českých médií. Své osobní zkušenosti s izraelskou okupací přijdou sdílet zástupce a zástupkyně libanonské komunity v Praze.
Následně se uskuteční online hovor s autorem knihy, se kterým probereme, jakým způsobem se Gaza stala laboratoří izraelské armády. Program bude doprovázet hudební vystoupení části skupiny Xadrex.
Program (tj. debata i online rozhovor) budou vedeny v angličtině s možností našeptávacího DIY překladu na místě. Tuto událost ve vzájemné spolupráci organizují: nakladatelství Neklid, nakladatelství UTOPIA LIBRI, kolektiv Tadamun a Laichterův dům.

It has been three years since Israel began committing genocide in Gaza, and decades of apartheid and ethnic cleansing in the occupied Palestinian territories. Palestine also serves as Israel’s testing ground for weapons and surveillance technologies, which are then exported—labeled as “battle-tested”—to countries around the world, including the worst dictatorships, such as Russia and Saudi Arabia.
Based on eyewitness accounts, classified documents, and investigative reports, the Palestine Laboratory by Australian investigative journalist Antony Loewenstein exposes the ties between the Israeli power structure and the technology and arms industries, which test weapons, surveillance technologies, and tools of repression on the Palestinian population for the global market.
Currently, Israeli aggression is escalating not only in Palestine but also in southern Lebanon, which is being systematically razed to the ground without much attention from the global or Czech media. Representatives of the Lebanese community in Prague will share their personal experiences with the Israeli occupation.
This will be followed by an online interview with the author of the book, during which we will discuss how Gaza became a testing ground for the Israeli military. The program will feature a musical performance by members of the band Xadrex.
The program (i.e., the debate and the online discussion) will be conducted in English, with the option of on-site DIY simultaneous translation. This event is organized by: Neklid publishing house, UTOPIA LIBRI publishing house, the Tadamun collective, and Laichter House.
